Purpose of the Position:
Become a reliable partner by building strong relationships with the SHC (State Healthcare Ecosystem, State Ministry of Health, Delegations & 3rd level of attention) to help them better meet their priorities & needs and serve their population.
Become Enablers for the X-functional team to meet their goals at an account level.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
The VAM is responsible for the following four pillars:
* Trusted partner: Build, Classify & Engage effectively with the Stakeholder Map of the SHC Disease Management: Comprehending the full patient journey for management of HIV/HCV/Breast Cancer.
* Disease Awareness, Screening and Linkage to Care. Contract Management: Responsible to manage the execution of contracts from national & local tenders at a State level. Including decentralized local institutions: PCC, IMPE, ISSSTESON, ISSSTECALI, etc.
*Inventory Management: Accountable for distribution processes & maintain optimal inventory levels across Institutions: SSA-IMSS Bienestar, IMSS, ISSSTE, Decentralized Inst.
In addition to:
- Lead the implementation of a sustainable market access strategy at a SHC level.
 - Lead projects through collaboration agreements at a SHC level prioritizing on beyond the pill activities with an impact on delivering solutions and medicines that matters.
 - Optimize the positioning and messaging of Gilead treatments and facilitates the co-creation of value propositions with customers.
 - Is an expert on how to navigate the external environment (SHC level).
 - Collects and analyze data to generate insights for x-functional teams that create value & impact with our customers.
 - Define, Maintain & Update MxKAM account management, creating insightful reports at SHC level that translate the Qualy & Quanty outputs into impactful business recommendations.
 - Has a deep understanding of customers priorities, needs & competitive landscape environment to provide early relevant input to the x-functional team.
 - Build & Leverage strong networks and relationships with key external and internal customers.

Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar role in a biotech/pharma fast-paced environment or 4 years of Government sales experience.
 - Prior working experience and expertise in Government relations, negotiations with government institutions, Tender processes and institutional budget allocation & reimbursement.
 - Strong knowledge of federal and state payer system.
 - Expert understanding of the political and healthcare system in Mexico.
 - Master’s degree desirable.
 - Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English is desirable.
 - Expertise in HIV, HCV & Breast Cancer disease areas is desirable.
 
Working Conditions:
Field work
- This position requires to spend ~85% of time in the field.
 - 75% travel domestically to other States
