Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. As the Director, Market Access Strategy & Insights you report to the Senior Director of Market Access Strategy and Insights, this position will have responsibility to provide Contract Modeling and Access Analytics support to the US Market Access organization for in-line and near-term pipeline assets. This role will have people management responsibility with 4-5 direct reports.
Knowledge & Skills:
Very strong working knowledge of market Access (e.g. flow of product and dollars across the distribution chain, government pricing regulations, typical contracting terms, and approaches) as well as key healthcare related datasets (e.g. IQVIA, SHA, Model N, Rebate Claims)
Able to influence senior management by distilling complex analytics and insights in an easily digestible presentation
Ability to collaborate and influence key business partners including National Account Managers, Contracting Strategy, Commercial/Government Contracting & Pricing, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Legal
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and execute across multiple urgent deliverables
Outstanding analytical skills including building complex excel models that integrate inputs from multiple data sources to enable robust scenario planning
Intermediate level SQL / SAS and Tableau skills desired
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Develop models and analytics to support all phases of contracting, including proposal development, contract analytics / model building, approval, and performance-monitoring
Partner with Marketing teams to ensure Market Access Strategy aligns with brand objectives
Monitor competitive product landscape and trends related to payer reimbursement, and determine implications to Gilead’s product portfolio
Work with Market Access Leadership team to understand customer and industry trends, as they relate to contracted and potentially contracted customers
Drive alignment across senior leadership at contracting steering committee meetings
Conduct analytics to support distribution strategy and patient support program design
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years’ Experience
OR
Masters' Degree and Ten Years’ Experience
OR
PhD and Eight Years’ Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in contracting analytics or financial modeling
Previous experience in HCV, HIV, or Rare Disease therapeutic areas preferred
