Job Description

As a Director, HCP Marketing Lead you will be an integral part of a fast paced highly collaborative team, who are on a mission to increase awareness, knowledge, relevancy, and usage of PrEP as part of preventative health for all who could benefit from it.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives HCP strategy and leads HCP execution in the US; aligned with short- and long-term HCP portfolio strategy and team
  • Lead adaptation of Global assets or de-novo workstreams to meet US HCP customer needs; examples include:
  • Leading development of new campaign and core messaging to be utilized in HCP promotion
  • Make recommendations for PS POA and co-lead development of PrEP HCP Personal Promotions call flow, objection handling, and materials for PS Team collaborating closely with sales/sales leadership to ensure seamless execution
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with PRC for optimal promotional approach, experience with OPDP review & process is preferable
  • Executes tactics according to strategy and demonstrates command of traditional and non-traditional marketing channels

  • Responsible for contributions towards campaign and tactic Launch Readiness Reviews, timing, coordination, and execution for HCP strategy

  • Contributes to greater PrEP portfolio strategic decisions

  • Leads insight generation and builds a holistic and dynamic view of the market using various sources—recommends trade-off decisions

  • Adept at developing, executing, and communicating plans based on insights and analysis using multiple data sources

  • Selects appropriate marketing and sales KPIs and drives action toward optimal performance

  • Sets priorities in circumstances of continued complex and conflicting requirements, provides logical recommendations

  • Keeps current and anticipates changes in the healthcare landscape, in therapeutic area, and with marketing trends and makes recommendations to adapt plans based on insights

  • Manage AOR to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of strategy and tactics; support management of agency relationship and budgets

  • Partnering closely with Sales, Regulatory, Legal, Medical, CL&D, II&D, Global, Nurse Educator, and Managed Markets Team, and broader Marketing Teams to ensure a coordinated and appropriate approach to maximize effectiveness

  • Evaluate and evolve current approaches and systems (as needed)

  • Design and deliver presentations to a range of internal stakeholders and external audiences

  • Experience with data driven sales and marketing systems is preferable

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies


Basic Qualifications:

12+ Years with BS/BA
OR
10+ Years with MS/MA or MBA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields is preferred

  • An advanced science degree or an advanced business degree such as an MBA is desirable

  • Advanced experience with product lifecycle management is preferred

  • Sales experience is desired and a minimum of 3 years in product marketing or advertising

  • Expert understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials is required

  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team and in leading teams

  • Strong desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Comfortable discussing topics relevant to the HIV prevention space, including sexual health, mental health, and substance use.

  • Ability to Travel: up to 25%

The salary range for this position is: $226,185.00 - $292,710.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
