Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC and A/C systems.

  • Maintain and monitor fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Manage and oversee water treatment and purification equipment to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Configure and monitor the automated computerized building management system to optimize system performance.

  • Document maintenance activities and write detailed reports outlining findings and actions taken.

  • Manage outside contractors for repairs, HVAC balancing, and HEPA filter testing, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

  • Collaborate with management and other team members to develop and implement maintenance strategies.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.

  • Respond to facility-related emergencies and perform corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a facilities technician in a commercial environment.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, A/C systems, fire suppression systems, and water treatment equipment.

  • Experience managing outside contractors and coordinating maintenance activities.

  • Familiarity with building management systems and automation technologies.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

  • Ability to document activities clearly and write comprehensive reports.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus (e.g., HVAC certification, fire safety certification).
