Director, PDM Experience
Location: Foster City
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Senior Director, Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) Operations Management, the Director, PDM Experience will serve as the business lead for programs that have outsize import on the experience of our employees and which enable a culture of support and growth.
FOCUS AREAS
Lead the nascent PDM Rotational Program, working with functional leaders and Human Resources partners, to ensure it is successful in its goal of supporting the development of PDM staff. Solicit feedback on the Rotational Program from all key stakeholders, monitor its rollout, determine needed iterations and then implement such improvements. This will require significant collaboration with Human Resources and other partners and functions
Review current onboarding program for new PDM staff, identify gaps, develop roadmap for comprehensive PDM onboarding and then implement onboarding program. This will also require significant collaboration with PDM functional leaders and Human Resources
Create and lead programming for the PDM Summer Internship program so that interns have a coordinated and meaningful time working at Gilead with a variety of experiences
Identify future programs to support PDM’s culture by facilitating conversations with the PDM Leadership Team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A degree in life sciences or a relevant business area with 12+ years of varied post-graduation experience in Pharmaceuticals, Biosciences or a related industry. Or MS with 10+ years of relevant experience. Or PhD with 8+ years of relevant experience. Or relevant experience.
Experience working in or with Human Resources on programs that nurture and develop talent within the business
Demonstrated capability to navigate and lead in a highly networked environment and experienced with the required elevated level of influencing skills.
Elevated communication skills, both written and oral. Strong presenter capable of engaging with, and facilitating conversations with, the most Senior Leaders in the organization.
