Job Description
Position Description:
As the Medical Scientist, you are responsible to provide scientific/medical guidance throughout product life cycle to the stakeholders in collaboration and close communication with the Japan Medical Affairs members, global/Asia Medical Affairs and other key functions.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Primary responsibilities are as follow:
- Establish effective working relationships with Oncology KOLs and other key external stakeholders and be recognized as an innovative and value partner in improving quality of care for oncology patients.
- Manage regular communication with Oncology KOLs and clinical trial investigators to provide medical guidance and more extensive background, additional data, or answers to questions in response to issues that arise relative to commercial, scientific or data needs.
- Develop and execute medical activities, such as medical education, data generation, patient centric activities in alignment with Plan Of Action (POA) and other strategic priorities in closely communicate with the global MA.
- Attend major conferences and helps coordinate medical affairs activities (ex. advisory board meeting) and may present to external audience.
- Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in Oncology area.
- Manage his/her projects to completion, anticipating obstacles and difficulties that may arise, resolving them in a collaborative manner.
- Ensure that all interactions and activities in Japan adhere to corporate compliance guidance/rules and industry code of conduct and responses to unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information
Minimum Education and Basic Qualifications:
- Must have strong industry experience (+3 yrs).
- The individual must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills both in Japanese and English along with excellent judgment and ability to work in a team environment.
- Hands-on involvement is a must (effective use of external resources)
- Excellent learning agility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in life science (PhD, Pharm D, MD) with clinical and research experience in Oncology
- Previous experiences in medical, MSL or R&D in Oncology.
- Demonstrated leadership in ambiguous situations.
- Project Management Skills.
