Job Description

Gilead's mission is to discover, develop and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. As the Senior Product Manager, HIV Prevention you will report to the Director, HCP Personal Promotion, HIV Prevention Marketing.

In this role, you support the Prevention Healthcare Provider Marketing Team. This individual will support creating content and materials that help educate providers about our product to prevent HIV infection and the disease area overall. They will support creating non personal promotion tactics delivered through media channels. Partnering with external agency members and internal cross-functional stakeholders will be important to be successful in this position.

As the Senior Product Manager, HIV Prevention you will:

  • Support the development of HCP Nonpersonal Promotions tactics for the Descovy and LEN for PrEP

  • Assist in the creation of Non-Personal Promotion tactics utilized to drive brand preference

  • Closely manage team marketing budget spend to maximize the number of NPP drivers for brand

  • Support the Marketing Advisory Panel (MAP) lead to glean field insights on marketing messages and channels

  • Coordinate with the Market Expansion lead when it comes to targeting and segmentation of messages to key customer groups

  • Assist Nonpersonal Promotion lead in maximizing media budget based on marketing metrics and Marketing Mix Analysis

  • Leverages multiple data sources, including market research, advisory board readouts, and Media Quarterly Business reviews, Marketing Mix Analysis to uncover emerging needs and opportunities for targeted HCPs

  • Effectively coordinate across multiple agency partners in the production of NPP drivers, custom media tactics, within timelines and on budget

  • Assist the Personal Promotion Conference lead with execution support

  • Digital Strategy organization liaison

  • Gains approval for marketing materials through an internal review process, including management reviews and Med-Legal-Reg. Secures final production

  • Works well cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Market Research, Sales Analytics, Managed Markets, and other key internal stakeholders.

  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies

  • Monitors landscape seeking out areas of opportunity to support ongoing marketing efforts

  • 15-20% travel required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and eight years of experience

  • Masters' Degree and six years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 years of Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry experience

  • Nonpersonal promotion experience from either pharma side or media company side

  • Background knowledge of HIV category

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Understands capabilities and functionality of Sales Force Marketing Cloud

  • Demonstrated excellence in project management, including planning, prioritization, execution, analytical assessment, and performance management

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various different stakeholders

  • Advanced communications skills with an ability to effectively communicate both orally and written

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory and legal requirements and their impact on developing marketing materials.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong ability to identify problems and proactively make logical recommendations

  • Listens carefully to other points of view and is able to adapt style and content based on audience

  • Most comfortable with discussing the category, which is based on sex, sexual orientation, and substance abuse

The salary range for this position is: $165,580.00 - $214,280.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
