We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our oncology research team focused on establishing and understanding resistance mechanisms to small molecule cancer therapeutics in the in vitro and in vivo settings. The expectation is that the work will result in novel contributions to our understanding of resistance mechanisms and high-quality publications in top-tier scientific journals. The selected candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment at Gilead through a 2-year term, with an option to extend an additional third year. It also provides access to world class research facilities and the opportunity to leverage expertise and resources across multiple functional areas at Gilead.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and characterize in vitro and in vivo resistance models using cancer cell lines and mouse xenograft tumor models.
Perform multi-omics profiling (WES, RNA-seq, methylation analysis and other) to identify molecular alterations associated with acquired and intrinsic resistance.
Conduct functional validation of candidate resistance mechanisms using gene editing and gain-of-function systems.
