Job Description

Manufacturing Tech IV – Technical Writer

*This is an onsite position five days a week.*

  • Participates in cross-functional teams.

  • This is a semi-experienced position requiring working or specialized knowledge of manufacturing systems, methods, and procedures.

  • Assignments range from routine to basic where analysis of situation or data requires a review of moderately complex factors.

  • Works on assignments that are routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

  • May be assigned as a lead or point on a single project.

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

  • Demonstrates significant capability to troubleshoot unassisted.

  • Demonstrates ability as a subject matter expert and shows expertise in the broader manufacturing area.

  • Actively practices six sigma skills and assists in the delivery of improvement activities.

  • Works on basic to routine assignments updating and establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Master Batch Records and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

  • Reports to Team Lead or Manager on a regular basis and reports any issues that need to be resolved.

  • Performs more complex troubleshooting unassisted.

  • Works on more complex manufacturing processes and assignments.

  • May train junior staff in assigned area and ensure that work is performed in accordance with quality standards and SOPs.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

  • Demonstrates good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.

  • Follows written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Takes independent action and initiative in resolving issues.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, HS Diploma

  • Prior experience in a cGMP related industry is required.
