Job Description

Kite is a cell therapy company that is focused on providing patients with highly effective, life-saving therapies. We have two commercial products, Yescarta® and Tecartus®, along with a robust pipeline of various autologous and allogeneic clinical programs. We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist III to support our Oceanside facility

 

Responsibilities

Create and implement raw materials plan according to the MPS using an ERP system in conjunction with the BOM recipes

Place purchase order requisitions in support of the material plan, follow up on open orders and escalate material supply issues including root causes and mitigation plan

Collaborate with suppliers and Global Sourcing to ensure OTIF

Provide timely updates to stakeholders on status of readiness activities and related projects

Establish or update standard operating procedures (SOP’s) as required and process controls to obtain and maintain an efficient and effective department

Monitor functional area metrics, identifying and root causing the trends

Assure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

 

Master’s in Business

OR

Bachelor’s and 2+ years of supply chain or related discipline experience

OR

Associated and 4+ years of supply chain or related discipline experience

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of supply chain experience at a pharmaceutical, biotech or medical company

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Excellent analytical skills

Working knowledge and understanding of current Code of the Federal Regulations (CFR's) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's)

Experience with Change Control Management, Deviations and CAPA Systems

Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this reciprocal work environment

High energy level and a positive outlook to achieve personal and organizational goals and overcome obstacles

Thrives in a dynamic environment with ‘can do’ attitude under minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities

Self-motivated with a excellent sense of ownership in areas of responsibility

Willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description

APICS CPIM certification,  Oracle, SAP or similar ERP system
