Job Description
Purpose of the Position:
Strong comprehension of Gilead’s oncology value proposition (including diseases, respective unmet needs, products indications, competitive scenarios, clinical and economical values) to generate solutions which expand treatment access for patients within strategic accounts from private sector, working closely and aligned with in-field team.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Disseminate trustful and balance scientific and pharmacoeconomic technical information to physicians, payers, providers, and other relevant private and public institutions, contributing to the best value proposition comprehension and customers education.
- End to end service and full ownership of all accounts in their territories.
- Develop, implement and monitor/follow up a strategic business plan for their key accounts, in collaboration with Marketing, Medical (MS) and Access (VAM), with clear objectives, KPI, resources and requirements.
- Follow up to keep updated and identify commercial opportunities in main cancer/infusion centers.
- Identify opportunities in public market and achieve specific patient purchases providing full follow up to the purchase process al local level and with strong communication with cross functional teams until full reimbursement is obtained.
- Guarantee uninterrupted supply with a flawless inventory management, monitoring existences at all levels of the account and POs, providing timely information to the Access team.
- Orchestrate a cross functional collaboration to guarantee the delivery of the plan and all activities (Marketing, Sales, Medical, Access, etc.), with full responsibility of the account and focused on the clinical multidisciplinary team.
- Responsible to achieve access for oncology products in the strategic accounts, identifying opportunities in the patient journey and working to minimize access barriers.
- Recognize, develop and implement innovative solutions and projects that are aligned with oncology access strategies to expand access of Gilead's portfolio.
- Deeply understand strategic accounts and its access/reimbursement environment through a robust diagnosis, mapping their interests, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, in close collaboration with other function in the in-field team.
- Identifying, mapping, engaging, and managing key stakeholders from the assigned strategic private accounts and key public accounts. Active engagement in incorporations and protocol establishments of Gilead’s products.
- Establish effective working relationships with external customers through value solutions that provide benefits and can improve access to patients in a framework of sustainability and efficiency.
- Develop and implement account strategy and action plans, accordingly to business goals, access priorities and account segmentation. Ensure cross-function alignment throughout the entire planning and execution processes by coordinating it along with other functions.
- Provide timely and thoughtful analysis and business-related insights to support decision making, interacting with external customers and a wide variety of internal customers and areas.
- Guarantee all activities and interactions follow local legislation and are under global and local compliance standards of Gilead translated through its policies, guidelines, and code of conduct.
Competencies / Skills / Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of Health System.
- Strategic thinker with ability to formulate and develop access strategies.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal skills to lead, interact, resolve conflict, and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of disciplines.
- Excellent knowledge of value and market access tools, including pharmacoeconomic and evidence-based medicine.
- Excellent knowledge and communication of technical and scientific information.
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Excellent Teamwork player and cross-functional management
- Data management skills and the ability to analyze information to provide relevant and reliable data are required.
- General use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience:
- BS or BA degree completed.
- Postgraduation and MBAs will be a differential.
- Advance English desired, especially for internal meetings and self-study
Working Conditions:
Field work
- This position requires to spend ~85% of time in the field.
- It includes domestic travel in national territory with business purposes.
