We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Manager of Field Analytics. Reporting into the Sr. Director of US Commercial Operations, the Senior Manager will contribute to all aspects of field force operations and analytics with primary responsibilities for sales planning, target identification and alignment, field process optimization, sales execution analytics and performance measurement. Internally known as a Sr. Manager of Sales Analytics and Operations, the Incumbent operates as part of the US Sales Analytics & Operations (SAO) team which guides the development and delivery of timely, actionable in-sights to support US Sales strategy and execution.
Ideally, this candidate would be located at Kite’s Santa Monica, California headquarters, or at Kite’s Workspace on Gilead’s Foster City, CA Campus in a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office) but, depending on the candidate, we may consider this opportunity to be remotely based.
Responsibilities include:
Supports proactive analysis on all aspects of sales and implementation data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and actionable recommendations
Interacts regularly with Sales Leadership to develop sales analysis and reporting on sales performance, on-going regional and territory analyses, and account planning
Manages the update of account performance metrics and attributes on relevant account planning resources
Creates and develops actionable insights on sales implementation strategies and commercialization efforts
Supports developing new processes and workflows within the systems to improve sales productivity and effectiveness
Contributes and/or manages projects related to salesforce sizing/balancing, and ROI analyses of field effort and effectiveness
Motivates the development of standard weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics, reports and dash-boards
Conducts ad hoc analyses using SQL and/or BI resources to support field program and follow through
Guides and implements the incentive goal setting process and administration with the field.
Performs periodic field incentive plan health check to ensure plans meet business targets
Ensures data quality, consistency, and accuracy by establishing and maintaining data governance processes for field data in partnership with the Data Solutions team
Basic Qualifications:
Masters Degree with 6+ years of experience
OR
Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of experience
OR
Associate Degree with 10+ years of experience
OR
High School Degree / GED with 12+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or quantitative discipline
MBA or MS in a quantitative or engineering discipline
Experience in a pharmaceutical sales / commercial analytics role, preferably in oncology, hematology, and/or rare diseases
Excellent analytical and technical skills (e.g. Excel, Tableau, SQL, SFDC/Veeva, etc.)
Ability to independently conduct rigorous analytical assessments and develop strategic recommendations
Demonstrated results partnering and collaborating with Commercial teams
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and complete assignments with accuracy and within established time frames
Experience and proficiency with CRM management resources (e.g. Veeva, Salesforce.com, etc.)
Excellent understanding of and demonstrated experience with secondary market data including claims data (meaning of data, limitations of data, ability to manipulate, conduct ad-hoc analysis, etc.)
Excellent understanding of field commercial systems and technology
Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to develop and present findings in a strategic and concise manner
Creative and thoughtful problem solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders, and impact resolution
Adaptable and comfortable in a diverse, cross-functional, and inclusive company environment
Proactive approach to meeting business needs and identifying business opportunities
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills

The salary range for this position is: $139,995.00 - $181,170.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
