Key Responsibilities

• Apply basic knowledge of manufacturing and packaging systems, methods, procedures, and regulatory affairs.
• Work on routine to basic scope problems with guidance, requiring evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Exercise judgment within well-defined practices and policies to select methods and techniques for solutions.
• Provide engineering knowledge in planning, organization, and implementation of projects within specified objectives.
• Contribute to drafting communications, procedures, and protocols as writing skills develop.
• Interface with contract manufacturers to address standard documentation and compliance issues.
• Support and revise specifications; resolve technical issues with material suppliers.
• Collaborate with vendors to develop alternate designs for packaging components and translate into actionable specifications.
• Travel to contract packaging sites to oversee qualification activities as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in a science or engineering field or related technical discipline.
• 2 years of relevant industry experience with a BS/BA, or no relevant experience with an MS in a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of typical computer applications.
• Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work to meet departmental goals.
• Interest in developing technical writing and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to contract sites for qualification activities.
