This role is part of Global Financial Solutions (GFS) and supports the Record to Report (RTR) organization by supporting finance innovation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on supporting opportunities to simplify, standardize, and digitally enable finance processes while ensuring strong governance, controls, and audit readiness. This role will also support day to day finance operations across General Ledger accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support day to day finance operations across the areas General Ledger accounting activities including discrete finance areas of Cash, Intercompany, Fixed Assets and Leasing.
Support the delivery of identified opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital enablement across RTR and wider GFS activities.
Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, and external teams to design and prototype solutions using approved tools such as Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
Support the delivery of innovation and improvement initiatives, from idea assessment through to implementation and handover, ensuring appropriate governance, controls, and audit readiness are maintained.
Develop and maintain process documentation, solution designs, and control narratives in line with GFS standards and SOX requirements.
Track initiative progress, benefits, and pipeline activity using agreed continuous improvement frameworks, KPIs, and reporting standards.
Support and promote a culture of continuous improvement across GFS.
Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, helping articulate requirements in a clear, structured, and pragmatic manner.
Acting with integrity and accountability, ensuring solutions are compliant, well‑controlled, and sustainable.
Working collaboratively across functions and geographies to achieve shared outcomes.
Supporting change and continuous improvement while maintaining appropriate risk awareness.

Key Skills & Experience
Required
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a structured, logical, and detail‑oriented approach.
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including CoPilot, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint; exposure to Power Platform tools is desirable.
Demonstrated interest or experience in innovation, automation, or continuous improvement within a business or shared services environment.
Ability to document processes and solutions clearly, with awareness of risk, controls, and audit considerations.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage constructively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred
Experience in a multinational finance, accounting, or shared services environment; RTR exposure is an advantage.
Familiarity with process improvement or CI methodologies (e.g. Lean, process mapping).
Experience supporting automation or digital initiatives in a controlled or regulated environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to understanding new AI enabled technologies to support their integration into the finance teams.
