Senior Manager, Data & AI Lead – Clinical Development
As part of the enterprise AI strategy, the Senior Manager, Data & AI Lead for Clinical Development drives strategy, planning, and end-to-end delivery of AI/ML solutions supporting clinical trials, clinical operations, clinical data management, biostatics, safety, quality and regulatory domains.
This role extends beyond technical delivery to include portfolio leadership, stakeholder engagement, and value realization, ensuring scalable, high-quality AI solutions are delivered from concept through scaled adoption across Clinical Development.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the Clinical Development Data & AI roadmap aligned to enterprise AI strategy
Own end-to-end delivery including timeline and technical quality of Clinical Development AI use case solutions from ideation through production
Apply product-centric approach with clear ownership, roadmaps, and user adoption metrics
Manage Agile delivery including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and releases
Ensure delivery of scalable and robust solutions
Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization and release schedules, extending into continuous improvement as both needs and the solution landscape evolves
Lead hybrid technical delivery teams, drawing on technical experts within and beyond the team
Ensure delivery of scalable and robust solutions
Shape technical standards for clincial data models, storage and automation workflows; Define and enforce standards for AI/ML models and data pipelines
Ensure delivery of scalable and robust solutions
Maintain technical documentation and runbooks for Clinical Development data pipelines and agents; Serve as escalation point for technical risks and delivery blockers
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements (GxP)
Facilitate technical problem solving across clinical development domains
Ensure integration with enterprise data platforms and reusable components
Monitor product performance & drive continuous improvement towards quantifiable targets; Track delivery, performance, and adoption metrics

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or Master’s with 6+ years relevant experience
Ensure integration with enterprise data platforms and reusable components
Experience leading AI/ML delivery programs in Agile environments
Hands-on experience in data engineering, data science, or architecture
Hands-on experience in data engineering, data science, or architecture
Experience in clinical development (trial ops, clinical data management, safety) preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Product-centric mindset with focus on value realization
Optional Differentiators
Experience in clinical AI/ML use cases
Experience in GxP regulated environments
Exposure to generative AI applications
Familiarity with clinical systems such as EDC and regulatory platforms
