Job Description
Director – Global Supply Chain (GSC) – OCM Business Partner
Job Description Summary:
The Director - GSC Organisation Change Management (OCM) Business Partner is part of the GSC Excellence and Strategy team (GSC E&S) and is responsible for supporting the GSC group with OCM activities to drive change adoption
Results are achieved by partnering with the business to create an early OCM approach and mindset to enabling the adoption and embedding of change across people, process and technology
The GSC E&S team plays a key role in our Supply Chain function by supporting the adoption of change as a result of GSC impacted initiatives such as SAP roll out, maintenance of changes to existing SAP, planning systems changes and enhancements, Business process improvements etc
This position is responsible for creating and executing change strategies, establishing governance frameworks, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication, training, and feedback mechanisms. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on communication strategies, leadership principles, and stakeholder management. Additionally, you will contribute to building a best-in-class change management practice within the organisation by sharing tools, templates, and mentorship with fellow team members. The position demands a high level of cross functional collaboration and will set the vision for OCM needed for GSC, in partnership with the business
Responsibilities:
- OCM Framework
- Enhance the foundations to support a repeatable OCM approach to change initiatives – e.g. OCM training, tools, templates etc
- Develop and roll out an integrated with GSC E&S framework for OCM from intake to requirements gathering right through to deployment, ensuring robust repeatable service delivery through robust stakeholder management
- Establish an integrated GSC E&S monthly business review framework
- Develop an OCM Service level offering from tools to templates to fully managed OCM
- Establish current state maturity and benchmark to advance the maturity of services
- OCM activities
The following OCM activities may apply - depending on the level of service support required for an initiative:
- Apply a structured methodology by leveraging a change management methodology, to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required
- Support communication and training efforts
- Assess the change impacts and manage strategy for change
- Enable the design, development, delivery and management of key communications
- Utilise best practice CM Framework to address common challenges such as resistance to change, stakeholder management, Technology integration, communication gaps, and supply chain disruptions
- Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
- Create change management plans that align with Project Management plan
- Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
- Track and report issues
- Evaluate and ensure user readiness
- Measure the impact of change management strategies deployed through key KPI measurement to monitor change progress
- Business Partnering
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across the Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) business area, GSC, Finance and Commercial.
- GSC E&S - Closely partner with the other pillars under GSC E&S: Processes, Global Trade Compliance and other optimisation pillars such as Training, Continuous Improvement, Project Management and Data and Analytics to identify OCM dependencies
- Develop a deep understanding of organisational operations and workflows
- Regular engagement with customers to understand pain points, prioritisation etc
- Support cross-functional business process governance reviews
- Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team supporting OCM activities
- Manage resource allocation and project prioritization, ensuring alignment with business prioritised goals
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Provides supervision, training, guidance and performance management
- Future of OCM as a service provided
- Develop Vision and mission aligned with GSC, PDM and Gilead’s vision and mission
- Develop and implement roadmap to evolve the OCM service whilst utilising best in class benchmarking, maturity assessment and action plans to evolve
- Collaborate across Gilead OCM teams, creating, participating and engaging in a Community of Practice to share learnings, best practice and latest trends
- Continuous Improvement
- Build a culture and a system of continuous improvement
- As part of establishing a monthly business review process, identify success factor KPI’s for the OCM service. Identify and maintain impact measurements for existing and new OCM activities/services
- Identify areas of opportunity and improve the OCM framework/service offering
- Project Management
- Act as a PM and a CM for some initiatives as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience OR Masters Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience are required.
Preferred Experience and Competencies
- Change management qualification e.g. PROSCI or other recognised CM qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/CM/Engineering discipline is strongly preferred
- Master’s degree and/or professional qualifications in supply chain management a plus
- Project Management and Lean Six Sigma qualifications a plus
- 5+ years experience as a Change Manager, managing end to end change with in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain processes
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with an ability to understand the 'big picture'
- Leads and project manages projects independently
- Comfortable presenting recommendations to diverse stakeholders
- Solid understanding of current industry trends
- Leadership qualities: collaboration, accountability, cross functional engagement and influence, strategic vision and coaching
- Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate on technical content and data with non-technical business stakeholders, clearly articulating messages to a variety of audiences
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and influence others
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
- A Customer Service, Continuous Improvement and Project Management mindset
- Proven track record delivering practical & sustainable OCM solutions for ERP systems
