We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Medical Affairs to join the Cell Therapy (Kite) team at Gilead Sciences Canada Inc. The Medical Manager will focus primarily on executing the Medical Affairs strategy in Canada. This role requires very close collaboration with national and international colleagues from within Medical Affairs as well as an extended cross-functional team. The role is office-based and will report to the Director of Medical Affairs, Cell Therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports the development and execution of projects based on the Medical Affairs Plan of Action (MPOA), in close collaboration with other local Medical Affairs team members.
Contributes to the development of both the MPOA and cross functional strategic plan for Cell Therapy.
Provide strategic and operational support to the local Medical Affairs Field team, including review of landscape activities, as well as the coalition and dissemination of field insights to relevant stakeholders.
Develops and conducts medical education and communication activities in accordance with identified learning needs, including digital, face-to-face, and print.
Develop effective working relationships with local cross functional teams, as well as regional and global Medical Affairs teams.
Provide support to plan and execute Medical Affairs Advisory Programs as well as supporting the execution of cross-functional advisory boards.
Presents scientific and clinical data in a variety of different settings to support Cell Therapy products for the treatment of hematologic malignancies.
Lead the medical and scientific review of local promotional materials for Cell Therapy.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
M.Sc., M.D., PhD. or Pharm.D strongly preferred
Strong medical/clinical/scientific background in hematological malignancies is preferred
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated ability to identify and understand complex issues and identify key findings from study data and publications
Excellent teamwork skills
Organized; attention to detail and able to meet timelines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize workload
Must be able to work with a high level of autonomy and independence
Must be fully cognizant and adhere to all regulatory and legal (Business Conduct) requirements for Medical Affairs activities
Position may require occasional travel (<10%)
