Job Description

Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. You will be an integral part of a fast paced highly collaborative team, who are on a mission to increase awareness, knowledge, relevancy, and usage of PrEP as part of preventative health for all who could benefit from it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build demand and credibility for Gilead PrEP products through engagement with thought leaders, experts, and trusted organizations across diverse HCP audiences who prescribe [or should consider prescribing] PrEP

  • Translate insights into clear objectives and develop targeted, compelling content aligned to HCP needs and brand strategies

  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with external experts and organizations to support short- and long-term brand strategies

  • Lead execution of external PrEP education initiatives across live and virtual formats, may include: congresses, speaker programs, peer exchanges, exhibits, and sponsorships

  • Monitor landscape trends and proactively recommend opportunities for external engagement

  • Contribute to annual tactical planning aligned with brand objectives and educational priorities

  • Develop and execute novel high-impact initiatives using both traditional and nontraditional channels, with a focus on measurable outcomes

  • Expert command and demonstrated track record of pharmaceutical communications [branded, unbranded, non-branded, administrative, etc]

  • Define KPIs, analyse performance, and apply insights to optimize current and future programs

  • Project management excellence: ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, including agency, vendor, and budget management

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Global, Field, Legal, Medical, Regulatory, Compliance, Managed Markets, Analytics, and Marketing teams

  • Uphold all legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards

  • Continuously improve processes to enhance scalability and effectiveness

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ Years with BS/BA
    OR

  • 10+ Years with MS/MA or MBA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience.

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields is preferred

  • An advanced science degree or an advanced business degree such as an MBA is desirable

  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team

  • Strong desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • High learning ability and self-starter preferred

  • Expert understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials is required

  • Comfortable discussing topics relevant to the HIV prevention space, including sexual health, mental health, and substance use. HIV or HIV adjacent experience is a plus.

  • Experience managing and collaborating with agency partners is a must

  • Strong communications skills and attention to detail; written, spoken, in presentations, etc.

  • A track record of building new and maintaining partnerships, collaborating with strong influence & negotiation skills are required

  • Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to successfully execute complex initiatives

  • Experience working with HCP audiences across live and digital channels

  • Launch experience and portfolio management preferred

  • Ability to Travel: up to 30%

The salary range for this position is: $226,185.00 - $292,710.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
