  • Apply cryo-EM and/or X-ray crystallography to determine high-resolution structures of proteins and macromolecular complexes relevant to drug discovery
  • Conduct cryo-EM workflows including grid preparation, data collection, image processing, 3D reconstruction, and model building
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate structural insights into medicinal chemistry and biologics design efforts including hit validation and hit-to-lead optimization.
  • Contribute to the operation, optimization, and maintenance of cryo-EM instrumentation and workflows
  • Present results clearly to internal project teams and contribute to scientific publications and reports
  • Independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver impactful results

Basic Qualifications

  • PhD in Structural Biology or related field with postdoctoral training in solving atomic resolution structures of macromolecular complexes
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in structural biology, preferably including biopharmaceutical industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in single-particle cryo-EM, including grid preparation, optimization, data acquisition, processing, 3D reconstruction, and model building
  • Hands-on experience in recombinant protein construct design, expression, purification, and characterization
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills in a matrixed team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
