We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Sr. Manager, Facility Operations to work in this exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy! This role is responsible for the development of strategic partnership, driving innovation, operational efficiencies, and change management in support of global maintenance and energy programs at our corporate headquarters location in Santa Monica, CA. This role reports directly to the Director of Corporate Facilities Operations for Kite.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Support the corporate facility team in driving change management across the organization in the implementation of the maintenance excellence strategy and to drive towards a best in class program.
- Develop strategic partnerships across the network to drive innovation and operational efficiencies.
• Closely work with Kite Engineering/Facilities leadership on all aspects of reporting, budgeting, long-range planning (assets), benchmarking and project business case development.
• Drive the Implementation of an asset lifecycle strategy and gain cross-functional support.
- Support the network in organization design, operating models, budgeting, and change management.
• Network leadership role to develop programs for safety, sustainability, quality, reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness a which may consist of some of the following:
- Work Management program
- Effective planning and scheduling
- Materials management (MRO)
- Reliability of assets and services
- Energy and Sustainability
- Facility Systems
Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific degree (i.e. MD, PharmD, PhD) and 0 years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, or operations in a biotech/pharma industry OR
- Master’s Degree and 6 years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, or operations in a biotech/pharma OR
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, or operations in a biotech/pharma OR
- High School Degree and 12years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, or operations in a biotech/pharma
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience and knowledge of ISO-55000 asset management system.
- Demonstrated ability to build teams and organizations and drive to achieve corporate milestones.
- Develops solutions to problems of moderate complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovativeness.
- Is comfortable interacting with regulatory agencies as needed and possess the ability to represent Kite in public forums.
- Demonstrate active listening and continuous feedback within team, ability to facilitate problem solving, decision making, and issue resolution
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly fluid company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
- Up to 30% travel required
