We are seeking a Senior Manager, IT Manufacturing who will be responsible for delivering technology solutions that will enable GxP operations across Kite global operations. This role provides system management for multiple applications across the TechOps organization to enable label printing, scheduling, enterprise resource planning, manufacturing execution, etc. This highly cross functional role will report to the Sr. Director of Global IT and work closely with the functional teams within TechOps, Gilead, and Kite IT.
Responsibilities of the Senior Manager, IT Manufacturing include, but are not limited to:
- Account for lifecycle management for assigned systems and boundary systems’ interfaces
- Develop solution artifacts throughout the lifecycle of assigned systems, cradle to the grave
- Prioritize the execution of new or enhanced systems and perform daily support
- Own requirements, specs, development, configuration, validation, hyper care, and releases
- Assist in developing SOPs and work instructions for applications administration and upkeep
- Own technical operations for assigned systems and manage a team of two consulting resources
- Collaborate with site IT, OAT, and F&E leads to maintain data integrity and minimize security risk
- Utilize best practices and hands-on experience within a Biotech, Pharma, or Life Sciences company
- Own vendor management and supervision over assigned systems and be willing to work off hours to support business needs
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD OR
- MS Degree and 6+ years’ IT experience, preferably software development, DevOps, or applications support OR
- BS and 8+ years’ IT experience, preferably software development, DevOps, or applications support OR
- High School Degree and 12+ years’ IT experience, preferably software development, DevOps, or applications support
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in integrating enterprise application and technical operations systems
- Experience in building a data warehouse for a biotech or pharmaceutical organization, with data from various quality, product development, and manufacturing systems
- Experience with emerging cloud, SaaS, and web technologies
- Experience with label printing solutions like Robar is a plus
- Ability to handle conflicting priorities from various business groups and prioritize them based on the business requirements and resource availability
- Experience in leading, managing, and mentoring a team of technical operations or manufacturing IT professionals
