Senior Calibration & Instrumentation Technician

We are seeking a Senior Services Assistant at our Foster City Campus that can provide excellent instrumentation support that will enable the calibration function to be a best in class services provider.
Specific Responsibilities and Skills
· Provide GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) calibration and PM (Preventative Maintenance) services and repairs site wide
· Provide dedicated onsite support with troubleshooting and repairs
· Manage the pick-up and drop-off of assets for calibration
· Ensure all calibrations are performed according to Gilead's applicable SOPs
· Utilize Gilead's Maximo system to execute calibrations and PM services
· Complete Calibration and/or PM by the work order due date
· Comply with Gilead's OOT (Out of Tolerance) process to notify Gilead impacted functions
· Confirm accuracy and integrity of the data and provide evidence if requested
· Verify test equipment is suitable for intended use (required tolerance requirements)
· Use suitable recognized traceable standards/M&TE
· Notify Gilead within one business day for vendor-managed standards/M&TE found OOT and within 2 business days to identify impacted equipment, then perform actions per Gilead’s OOT process
· Remain compliant with all training in a timely manner
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Ability to provide results in a largescale operation within a fast pace environment
· Ability to champion a wide array of large calibration related project with impacting results
· Have demonstrated the ability to independently create, route and close change control, deviations and CAPAs using Track Wise
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, MS Project and type more than 20 words per minute
· Strong knowledge of automation concepts and fundamentals. Allen Bradley, Lab Watch and Siemens experience is a plus but not required
· Ability to lead and manage project teams, including directing field technicians and subcontractors
· Ability to read and understand P&ID’s, electrical & architectural drawings
· Effectively communicates with peers and project teams, including engineers, project managers, technicians, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
· Minimum High school diploma/GED with 3 (three) years of related experience OR Associate’s degree with 2 (two) years of related experience
· Strong experience in operations management, including managing technical resources, project financial reporting and planning
· Ability to operate within a Work Order system, Maximo is a plus
· Knowledge of calibration standards such as ISO 17025, NIST and ISA
