Job Description:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategy for Gilead HIV products and support delivery of tactical implementation.
  • Gain approval for marketing materials through internal review process and secure final production.
  • Strategically coordinates and implements marketing plans across functions liaising with medical, sales, market research, corporate communications and finance, to drive activities to achieve revenue and results objectives.
  • Ensures that all marketing activities follow regulatory and legal requirements.

Knowledge:

  • Experience with marketing fundamentals, strategy, sales and commercial policies and practices.
  • In-depth ability to conceive, develop and implement multi-dimensional marketing and business plans.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute development strategy.
  • The ability to conduct analysis and use complex analytical tools.
  • Possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills and ability to efficiently and productively communicate to a variety of groups and audiences.
  • Demonstrate excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials.
  • Strong presence with ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making is required.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams or work groups as well as direct reports.
  • Ability to successfully work with external agencies, including advertising, public relations and medical education vendors to develop programs and materials is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 12 Years' Experience 

OR 

  • Masters' Degree and 10 Years' Experience 

OR

  • PhD and 8 Years' Experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in marketing, marketing research and/or pharmaceutical sales desired.
  • Experience in developing, reporting and communicating HCP Marketing metrics.
  • Therapeutic Area knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with Advocacy, Community and National Health systems and services are preferred.
  • Must have experience executing and measuring key e-Marketing tactics including websites, SEO/SEM, web-based detailing, email campaigns, podcasts and digital media.
  • Experience with social media a plus.
  • Prior people management experience strongly preferred.
