Sr. Manager, Finance - FP&A Clinical Program Finance

As a Sr. Manager, Finance - FP&A Clinical Program Finance, you are responsible for establishing strong business partnerships with the Virology Therapeutic Area team to provide comprehensive financial support and ongoing analytics.

Office Location: Foster City, CA

What You Will Do

  • Lead financial aspects of governance and portfolio processes for several Virology assets
  • Lead the month-end and LE process for Virology, ensuring accuracy and streamlined processes.
  • Drive development of meaningful financial analyses and create effective presentations to communicate conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drive development and implementation of key process improvement initiatives. Proactively engage with Finance colleagues and business partners to develop continuous process improvements to planning, analyses and reporting.

  • Project Management: The candidate must possess the ability to actively manage the execution of projects that involve cross-functional stakeholders. This includes providing guidance on project scope and timelines, integrating the work of multiple teams into project deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A BS or BA is required.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility. 6+ years of experience with an MBA degree.
  • Experience with project reporting, operational accounting and reporting is required.
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with familiarity in Oracle - Hyperion, and Tableau preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A CPA is preferred.
  • Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry and supporting R&D is preferred.
  • Solution oriented, with good analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as an effective member of our team.
