Job Description

Events Manager – Simplified Role Description

Overview
Responsible for planning and executing end-to-end event management processes for the Commercial Business Units and related functions. This includes strategic planning, logistics coordination, vendor management, and post-event analysis to ensure high-quality experiences aligned with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Event Management: Own the full lifecycle of events—from initial planning and budgeting to execution and post-event reporting.

  • Agency & Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships with external agencies, contractors, and vendors; negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with internal policies.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, senior management, and external advisors to align event objectives and deliver exceptional experiences.

  • Logistics & Operations: Organize travel, catering, AV setup, meeting spaces, and off-site activities; attend events to oversee smooth execution.

  • Budget Management: Prepare purchase orders, track expenses, reconcile budgets, and report per legal and compliance requirements.

  • Process Improvement: Develop and update event-related processes; lead rollouts of new tools and applications.

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and guide junior staff; provide training on functional processes and policies.

  • Post-Event Analysis: Deliver event metrics and actionable recommendations for future improvements.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven expertise in event planning and vendor negotiation.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities across diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with pharmaceutical industry standards.

  • Minimum BA degree and 7+ years of experience in events or pharmaceutical sector.

  • Ability to work independently and lead projects; multilingual skills are a plus.
