Senior Supply Chain Specialist- Commercialization and Business Operations

The job holder is a key member of the Commercialization & Business Operations team (part of Supply Chain). The team being responsible for all the launches of new products for Kite in, among others, countries in Europe and Israel.

The role reports into the Associate Director Supply Chain, Commercialization & Business Operations. He/she is responsible for supporting the new product/indication launches but also the product lifecycle management of these. Additionally, as part of the Business Operations function, he/she is involved in and may lead relevant cross-functional and Regional/Global projects related to Commercialization, Supply Chain, and/or Technical Operations (‘TechOPS’). Hereby collaborating intensively with cross-functional stakeholders from TechOPS and Commercial Operations (‘CommOPS’), including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, Quality, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Finance, Marketing, and Market Access.

The job requires extensive knowledge and work experience in various Supply Chain Management areas. The right candidate must know how to successfully manage (complex) projects with cross-functional stakeholders and be always on the look-out for continuous improvement opportunities to make a better and more efficient tomorrow. Essential Duties and Job Functions (not limited to):

  • Works in partnership with TechOps Project Leads to follow up and driving the timely execution of the implementation plans related to country and product launches as well as product lifecycle management for the countries in scope.
  • Drive the progress of Change Controls within Kite’s Quality Management System (QMS) related to launches, product lifecycle management, and projects.
  • Assists with the preparation of launch project plans and ensures project team activities and decisions are clearly communicated, documented, and archived.
  • Creates, maintains, and operationalizes the use of project tools (spreadsheets, dashboards, project plans, trackers) and provide regularly report status of launches/projects and product lifecycle management for countries in scope.
  • Creates project related documents including business process flows, project plans, training related documents including SOPs and Work Instructions.
  • Provides input in regular operations review meetings on project plans and ensure to capture all relevant information and requirements from a country-, functional-, and (in-/external) customer perspective.
  • Leads or participates in improvement projects and supports the execution of supply chain initiatives to achieve departmental targets.
  • Perform other duties/roles as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • a MSc/MA or BSc degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or Engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry.
  • Ideally having extensive supply chain knowledge and experience within those industries.
  • Technical knowledge of biotech/pharmaceutical product launches and working knowledge of regulatory requirements are considered a plus.
  • Experience operating in high complex matrixes engaging cross-functional and cross-country teams and developing deep collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A pro-active attitude and who behaves with a high level of autonomy – identifies and challenges needs, acting accordingly initiating projects with impact on business outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Fluency in and comfort with English being the primary language within the team and Kite (verbal and non-verbal). Additional linguistic skills are considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of GMP and GDP and working with Quality and Manufacturing departments is considered a plus.
  • Experience in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
