We are seeking a highly effective Senior Manager, Site Facilities Services to be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of facilities department.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Main contact person of Gilead Shared Facilities and SBM Facility services.

• Leads the day-to-day activities of facilities department and all items executed by SBM

• Responsible for the following services of SBM and Gilead shared facilities: Reception and Hospitality, Security, Cleaning, Pest Control, Space Planning, Internal logistics & Events. This list is not limited and may be expanded with additional soft services in the future at MVP01

Creates new Work Orders and PO’s for vendors and services needed to support the site

• Conduct weekly architectural walks of all manufacturing, quality, and technical spaces to ensure compliance with Facility Fit Requirements

• Initiates and owns minor and sometimes major deviations, including CAPAs and basic Change Management records.

• Utilizes CMMS system to document preventative and corrective work activities

• Sets the standards, methods and procedures for the design, modification, implementation of Space planning and design activities

• Develops, implements, and maintains Facility space planning long range strategic roadmap for Oceanside Viral Vector Manufacturing Site while ensuring alignment across the Kite/Gilead Facilities network.

• Acts as a key member of the Facilities and Engineering leadership team.

• Coordinates multi-functional efforts to resolve facilities, manufacturing and maintenance and issues related to projects and day to day operational activities.

• Directs team activities, multiple projects of significant complexity and risk

adhering to schedule, budget, and resource requirements.

• Organizes plans and schedules facility maintenance and site services project work.

• Maintains site compliance documentation and investigates and responds to

compliance problems and complaints received from customers, agencies, or

employees.

• Participates in preparation and review of Facilities Services policies and procedures.

• Ensures that all Maintenance SOPs Work Instructions and BED documents are kept up to date and reflect current industry and regulatory requirements.

• Works on Highly complex problems where analysis of situations or data

requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

  • Oversees the pest control and facility fitness programs.

• Participate in all inspections and any meetings with the City or Regulatory officials

• Additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience in facilities maintenance in a biotech/pharma industry Or

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in facilities maintenance in a biotech/pharma industry Or

• High School diploma with 12+ years of experience in facilities maintenance in a biotech/pharma industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant experience and or BS or BA in related fields

• Has previous experience in regulated biotech or pharmaceuticals industry.

• Facilities experience in clean room construction and proper maintenance technics that minimize environmental contamination.

• Has previous experience in a Sr. Facility supervisor role or Facility Manager role in highly regulated manufacturing environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders at all levels.

• Excellent organizational skill and the demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate, plan, monitor and track operational projects and work in progress.

• The ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities and the ability to work under specific time constraints is highly desired

• Requires the ability to be available to work off hours when requested and respond to facility emergencies during off hours.

• Regulatory Agency experience is highly desired
