At Kite Pharma we are completely transforming the treatment of cancer by utilizing novel immunotherapy technology. We have developed and launched a best-in-class CAR-T therapy, Yescarta, which is currently curing patients from previously intractable b-cell malignancies. We are using our expertise to apply our success to other indications and to strengthen our direction in this space, and you can help!
We are seeking a self-motivated and resourceful individual with a excellent work ethic to join our Cell Therapy Research Team. You will have the opportunity to work in a exciting and highly collaborative environment to support a growing R D portfolio, to help develop an organization centered on cutting-edge technology, and to develop models based on complex high-dimensional research and clinical data sets. The position requires a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of pharmaceutical science in a regulated environment and will work closely with the discovery research, translational medicine, clinical development, and product development teams.
We are looking for a Research Scientist that will have the primary responsibility to generate and analyze translational data from a variety of different assays in the context of Kite’s clinical studies. These readouts include but are not limited to clinical data, pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamics readouts, product attributes, next-generation sequencing data, etc. This work will require a solid background in immunology and/or oncology, complemented by computational experience in disciplines such as data science, statistics, machine learning or bioinformatics. You will need excellent problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to compile and share findings with the goal of advancing our pipeline. Experience analyzing large data sets and/or prior experience in the cell therapy space is highly desirable.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop integrative analysis strategies to identify relationships between manufacturing process parameters, product attributes (such as molecular/cellular phenotypes, cellular functional assays), patient characteristics, and clinical trial results.
- Leverage computational analysis strategies across biological, clinical and manufacturing data to facilitate decisions in the development of next-generation cellular therapies.
- Analyze and interpret large molecular data sets, including mining of immunological datasets for e.g. biomarkers, therapeutic targets, cancer mutations.
- Collaborate with colleagues in translational medicine, biometrics, process development, research and clinical development by providing data analytics expertise.
- Stay current with and adopt emerging analytical methodologies, instruments and applications to ensure fit-for-purpose and impactful approaches.
