The Position
An exciting opportunity exists within the Cell Therapy area for a Senior/ Director Global Medical Affairs, ACE strategic Medical Affairs. Kite ACE is a region of 20+ very diverse countries comprising of France, UKI, Germany, Canada, Spain, Italy, Australia, Switzerland, The Netherlands, The Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland), Belgium, Portugal, Austria, Israel, Greece, Poland, Czech Republic & Slovakia.
The position is remote but frequent travels to the ACE Headquarters in Stockley Park or to countries is expected; ideally the candidate should be in the UK, France or Germany. The position will report to the Executive Director , Head of ACE Kite Medical Affairs . The position is expected to work cross functionally with the various functions involved in Cell Therapy at a regional and global level with a specific focus on Global Medical Affairs and Global Marketing, ACE Strategic Marketing Leads to optimize execution, collaboration, and alignment of ACE plans.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
The Senior/ Director Global Medical Affairs, ACE strategic Medical Affairs (m/w/d) will:
Contribute to the overall brand strategy development by embedding the ACE medical affairs needs into the global Medical Affairs strategy, work with the Global Medical Affairs Assets Leads to shape the products strategy according to the regional needs,
oversee the POA development and provide with a regional summary POA for ACE,
lead the ACE OLs engagement activities,
support the various access programs for the region (EAP, compassionate use, off label policies, managed access program)
support countries for ISR study concepts and proposals submission review and execution
provide regional insight consolidation to various forums (e.g., GXMT and G3MO)
support ACE Market Access for value proposition development for the region
participate in regional and international meetings, congress and symposia, contributing to their planning and organization when appropriate in support to Scientific communication team as such the Director Global Medical Affairs, ACE strategic Medical Affairs will contribute to various Medical Affairs and cross functional forums to provide regional input (e.g., G3MO, Launch readiness, GXMT, RWE…).
Active contribution to the ACE Medical Affairs team (member of the ACE MA LT)
coordinate the region tactics such as all access programs, ACE/Countries real world data generation, countries ISR study concepts and proposals submission review and execution, countries insights generation
coordinate activities with Clinical Research and Clinical Operations to execute clinical trials in the region.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
M.D. or PharmD qualified with a strong scientific background, in the areas of interest in Kite.
Significant industry Medical Affairs experience gained within hematology and/or oncology (10 years+).
Experience in managing a medical team of a pharmaceutical company, at country or international level (direct management or indirect management experience)
Highly resourceful and strategic thinker with strong emotional intelligence, operational rigor and project management capabilities
Proven track record of working closely with commercial, market access, and other functions in an international matrix structure
Fluent English and additional language desirable
Demonstrable evidence of ability to work collaboratively within a matrix team environment Excellent communication skills
