We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented contributor to join us as a Business Analyst supporting the North America Logistics department. In this role, the Business Analyst will pro-vide oversight into day logistical support of business-critical Salesforce systems’ processes, while also managing the implementation of enhancements to these systems. Internally known as a Manager of Supply Chain, the Incumbent will report up to the Associate Director of Supply Chain, partnering closely with IT, Logistics, Site Planning, Commercial, and Validation teams. The Business Analyst will proactively identify issues related to Logistics systems, ensure they are reported to IT, and verify said issues have been resolved within SLAs. The Business Analyst will also manage the governance process around Logistics system enhancements, related to Salesforce applications, guiding new requests through the product development lifecycle. This includes gathering of detailed requirements, leading requirements prioritization sessions, pre-senting and demonstrating reporting system features, authoring and execution of test scripts, creation of training documents, while working within Kite’s validation framework. The Business Analyst will also act as a process and systems SME (subject matter expert) in projects involving Logistics, providing input and guidance related to Logistics processes while also recommending system solutions.

This position will be based out of our Oceanside, California, Santa Monica, California or Frederick, Maryland facilities.

The GSC Logistics Business Analyst should expect 10-20% travel (both domestic and international) as determined by the business' needs.

Responsibilities of the GSC Logistics Business Analyst include:

  • Known Subject Matter Expert for Logistics business processes and systems used

  • Proactively identify and report production issues (both system and data)

  • Train users on the use of Logistics systems and related reports

  • Partner with IT to drill down into root cause of production issues and align on proposed solutions (technical and process) to resolve issues

  • Once solutions are identified, present findings, options, and recommendations for pro-posed solutions to business users

  • Lead process re-engineering workshops with business and IT stakeholders

  • Document process steps and system enhancements required to support process

  • Oversee approval for user access requests to Logistics systems

  • Support development of business cases for new reports and related capabilities

  • Manage product lifecycle to implement new systems enhancements from inception to deployment

  • Work alongside business groups to capture and prioritize new requirements

  • Perform impact assessment on new or changing system requirements, including data required from integrated (boundary) systems

  • Author system related documents including requirement specifications, process flow diagrams, test scripts, work instructions, SOPs, and various assessments per Kite Validation procedures

  • Manage the testing of systems enhancements

Basic Qualifications:

MA / MS degree with 4+ years of Supply Chain and/or Business Information Systems and/or cGMP manufacturing domain and/or Operations experience

OR

BS / BA degree with 6+ years of the aforementioned experience

OR

Associate's degree with 8+ years of the aforementioned experience

OR

High School Diploma / GED with 10+ years of the aforementioned experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in an operations role in the life sciences and/or medical devices industry

  • Experience supporting or implementing Salesforce solutions

  • Understanding of E2E logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, and related processes

  • Experience working in a GxP environment including authoring of validated documents and execution of validation test scripts

  • Project Management expertise, preferably with Agile Methodology or Scrum Frame-work

  • Business analysis skills including requirements gathering, process mapping, and soltioning

  • Proven ability in authoring technical documents and business processes

  • Collaborative meeting skills and ability to work in a virtual work environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility for meeting deliverables
