Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Senior Research Associate in our Automation core group. You will play a key role in advancing our CAR pipeline and contributing to develop next generation cell therapies as you support our efforts in this exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy. The successful candidate will be expected to perform experiments, organize and analyze results, and communicate findings in team meetings.  This will be a hands-on role supporting pipeline activities.


  • Work with biology teams to develop and miniaturize assays to assess T-cell function
  • Execution of medium and high throughput assays
  • Maintain several cell lines in culture
  • Phenotypic and functional characterization of T-cell products
  • Successfully execute and document laboratory procedures and experiments with great attention to detail
  • Work cross-functionally with other research teams, and other departments, to support product characterization at different stages of development

Basic Qualifications

Master’s Degree


Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of laboratory experience


AA Degree and 4+ years of laboratory experience


High School Degree and 5+ years of laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science Degree with 1+ years of lab experience
  • Background in bioassay development and mid to high throughput screening
  • Cell culture experience and excellent sterile technique
  • Previous experience with cell lines and primary cells, especially T cells
  • Hands on experience with T-cell functional characterization assays
  • Hands-on flow cytometry experience
  • Experience performing cytotoxicity, proliferation, and cytokine/chemokine quantification assays
  • Hands-on experience using and programming liquid handling robots (e.g. Hamilton, Tecan, Bravo)
  • Experience in programming (e.g. Python, javascript, R)
  • Self-motivated and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced company and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and record keeping experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in this collaborative work environment
  • Immunology and/or immunotherapy background
  • Previous experience working with engineered T cells
