The Director, U.S. Health Systems Access Strategy – Pipeline, Multiple Myeloma, and Policy serves as the Kite cell therapy health system access strategy lead for the Multiple Myeloma (MM) franchise. The role has responsibility for developing and executing the US Health Systems Access launch strategy through close partnership with the Brand, Arcellx and Medical team leads.
In this role, you will lead development of access and reimbursement launch strategies and value initiatives through close partnership with the U.S. Brand Lead, U.S. Medical Lead, HEOR, Global Commercial Strategy and Health System Marketing Leads, Field DNA’s, KAD’s, Finance, and Legal to meet Kite objectives.

This role is ideally located at Kite’s HQ in Santa Monica and reports to the Senior Director of U.S. Health Systems Access & Pricing Strategy. A remote arrangement may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Understand key needs of developing and delivering a comprehensive CART value and access marketing program in the US market
- Coordinate with Business Analytics Team to conduct primary research to understand payor and ATC needs in the US cell therapy market
- Manage engagement with the field and key payor groups and advisory councils to collect key insights regarding customer experience and access needs
- Lead the Multiple Myeloma U.S. Health Systems Launch Strategy
- Partner with brand and medical team members to create holistic U.S. launch strategy
- Develop the strategic plan in close coordination with Arcellx Value Access team
- Develop unique payer and provider value creation approaches
- Deliver robust value proposition and evidence package to meet US payer provider needs
- Implement Payer and Provider focused tactics to optimize coverage and reimbursement and train field market access directors
- Collaborating with Global Access Leads and HEOR, to continuously define evolving CAR T value in US market, including evaluation of clinical, humanistic, and economic benefits relative to standards of care and emerging competitors
- Partner with HEOR in development and implementation of plans to address identified evidence generation needs through studies, publications, messaging, and scientific communication
- Provide US Value Access input into future clinical trial designs
- Oversee internal and external stakeholders to implement value access marketing strategy and tactics in alignment with the brand plans to include AOR management
- Develop and manage key external relationships to support marketing initiatives
- Lead Promotion Review Committee (PRC) process to ensure marketing materials are cleared for use and secure final production
- Oversee agency relationships to develop and deliver novel value offerings
- Ensures all activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
- Contribute to US pricing contracting life-cycle strategies and evaluation of innovative value-based pricing approaches
- Contribute to policy and government affairs advocacy strategies to optimize cell therapy access reimbursement for patients, payers, and providers
- Leads US Multiple Myeloma value access annual budget process and appropriately frames investment decisions
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate and 8+ years of experience OR
- Master’s and 10+ years of experience OR
- Bachelor’s and 12+ years of experience OR
- Associate and 14+ years of experience OR
- High School Diploma/GED and 16+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of hematology / oncology sales and marketing experience at specialty-focused pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing strategies in hematology / oncology
- Extensive understanding of the hematology / oncology clinical landscape and the business of cell therapy
- Excellent strategic thinker, with the ability to formulate, develop and implement strategy based on applied analytical skills
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional partners to develop creative solutions where precedent may not exist
- Demonstrated experience in developing market access strategy marketing initiatives for oncology products by leveraging market research, data, and analytics in highly complex and competitive markets
- Market Access Pricing financial expertise within US Healthcare System to include buy and bill, inpatient and outpatient hospital economics, governmental reimbursement, and payer/provider economics
- Experience developing value platform while aligning and contributing to HEOR evidence generation plans to define and deliver value stories to economic decision makers
- Engagement experience with payer, provider, channel, and health policy experience desirable
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and interpret business issues/opportunities and make sound business judgments regarding solutions
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
