We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager in the Marketing Team based in the UK affiliate, Holborn, London. This position will report to the Sales & Marketing Director within the Business Unit. We are seeking a motivated individual looking to expand their experience of brand management, providing the opportunity to contribute and drive brand projects and seek growth opportunities through dynamic marketing. The role will cover responsibilities in Brand management for both Anti-Fungal’s, in the treatment of Invasive fungal infection, and with Covid 19, an anti-viral for treatment of Covid-19. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to break into pharmaceutical marketing, with some relevant industry experience, or take a progressive step to increased responsibility from a junior marketing position.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Develop and ensure approval for use and final production of promotional materials.
- Manage agency relationships to develop promotional materials.
- Ensure all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Be responsible for the management of projects as part of the marketing budget (OPEX) and project timelines.
- Work on assigned projects and communicate effectively with the wider team
- Ensure performance tracking/monitoring, including any required action planning for all responsible projects, seeking to optimise and align to Brand strategy.
- Responsible for articulating the UK Brand Strategy and Action Plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Partner with Medical Affairs and other stakeholders to ensure effective development and implementation of strategies in a compliant manner.
- Significant contribution and apportioned responsibility for the development of promotional communication strategy and tactics ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.
- Great team collaborator, and ability to work closely as part of a wider Brand Team and in conjunction with the Field team.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Requires a university degree and demonstrated experience within the pharmaceutical/ healthcare industry to include familiarity with marketing/sales strategy and tactics, as well as commercial policies and practices within specialty care.
- Experience in working on complex speciality brands is a bonus.
- An understand of modern Omni-channel and digital marketing basics.
- Strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute development strategy.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures, and disciplines.
- Ability to analyse complex issues, execute sound judgment.
- Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and utilize a high level of product and therapeutic disease knowledge to promote the appropriate use of Gilead products to opinion leaders.
- Excellent and demonstrable command of written and spoken English and proficiency at communicating verbally and in written form.
