Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Franchise Marketing to join our US Cell Therapy Marketing team.  This role reports to the head of Franchise Marketing within US Commercial and will work with our teams based primarily at our HQ in Santa Monica, CA, and while we would prefer to have someone work onsite, we are also open to this role being remote for anyone who is US-based. 

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting marketing efforts for Kite, a Gilead company’s cell therapy products. You will be responsible for strategically leading physician promotional efforts and helping to set the short term and long-term vision for Cell Therapy as well as maintaining appropriate procedures, systems, metrics and infrastructures to support promotional efforts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support development of branded and unbranded promotional portfolio (HCP)
    • Leverage market research and analytics to optimize brand strategies and marketing tactics
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to implement promotional communication strategy and tactics in alignment with the global brand strategy
    • Lead Promotion Review Committee (PRC) process to ensure marketing materials are cleared for promotional use and secure final production
    • Partner with Medical Affairs, Government and Public Affairs to ensure effective development and implementation of strategies
    • Manage agency relationships to develop promotional deliverables
  • Manage promotional cost center budget coordinating with team members as appropriate
  • Ensure that all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience OR
  • High School Diploma with 12+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related fields
  • MBA or other advanced business degree
  • 6+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
  • Experience in marketing research and / or pharmaceutical sales
  • Prior hematology / oncology or cell therapy experience
  • Ability to leverage data to conduct analyses and use complex analytical tools to drive decisions
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects / priorities
  • Ability to successfully work with external agencies, including advertising, public relations and medical education vendors to develop programs and materials
  • Familiarity with marketing fundamentals, strategy, sales and commercial policies and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets
