The Role
The Intern in this role will support the US Marketing team in the execution of post-launch activities for a new and highly strategic indication.
The individual in this intern position will be fully embedded in the team supporting the commercialization of Kite’s largest and leading brand at a very exciting time in its lifecycle.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Track competitor data, claims and congress activities
Interact with Medical, Legal and Regulatory colleague in the development and approval of promotional pieces
Collaborate with Business Analytics to gather customer insights and track launch metrics
Collaborate with Global Marketing to share early launch learnings
Gather early feedback from field force on launch promotional materials and recommend improvement/modifications
Collaborate with Technical Operations to calibrate demand forecasts and ensure manufacturing capacity
Participate in post-launch debriefs with senior leaders
Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years or older
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
Currently enrolled in an MBA program at an accredited college or university with completion of the first year of an MBA program scheduled before the internship starts
Must be enrolled in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship - graduation date of December 2022 or Spring/Summer 2023
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Kite sponsorship
Must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination prior to start of the internship
Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between June and September
Must be able to work remotely or relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications:
In the process of completing the first year of a Master in Business Administration with emphasis on Marketing and/or International Management
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Life Science, or Business
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Ability to identify issues and seek innovative solutions
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively/Ability to work in collaborate in cross functional teams in fast pace, dynamic team setting
Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
Experience and/or interest in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or health-care industry
Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory policies
Ability to apprehend complex scientific concepts
Team player and strong collaborator (“cell therapy is a teamsport”)
