Department Description

As Manager Supply Chain you’ll be joining a team in which people of all backgrounds and experiences are respected, and where working together focused on saving lives, by finding the cure for cancer, is a daily activity. You’ll be reporting to the Supply Chain Director.

Your Responsibilities

The Manager Supply Chain leads the Order Management team for Europe.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Regional Supply Chain team.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Mentors, coaches, and develops EU order management personnel
  • Manages and supports the cell order journey and geographical expansion by developing systems, processes and managing SOPs
  • Provides leadership for the cell order process across facilities’ operations, logistics, and manufacturing while working in partnership on our patient support program called Kite Konnect
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates any potential supply interruptions, performs required corrective measurements or escalates to next level support
  • Works in close collaboration with cross functional stakeholders to ensure a successful order journey
  • Develops and implements comprehensive customer service solutions for order management that are scalable and provides clear alignment across all departments, while maintaining high value biopharmaceutical product integrity and Chain of Custody / Chain of Identity
  • Identifies, initiates, and manages cross-functional projects using appropriate project management expertise and methodologies
  • Leads investigations for deviations related to order management, ensuring pro-active communication to impacted stakeholders
  • Manages and supports root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for deviations and exceptions
  • Defines and analyzes key performance metrics and trends to drive improvements in order management and ‘vein-to-vein’ performance
  • Develops continuous improvement plans for systems and processes
  • Partners collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals related to order management
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree and 2 years of operations or supply chain experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of operations or supply chain experience OR Associate's degree and 6 years of operations or supply chain experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must have planning and supply chain experience in pharmaceutical setting (Oncology, hematology, immunotherapy preferred)
  • Strong background in several of the following: operations, GMP processes, supply chain planning, demand management, materials planning and execution
  • In depth experience in Microsoft Excel (tables, arrays, formulas, conditional formatting)
  • Understands advanced supply chain concepts
  • knowledge of end to end supply chain

Preferred:

  • Experience with industry regulations, GMP, compliance and pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology processes
  • 2 years of management experience building teams while coaching and managing people managers; experience with global teams
  • APICS certification and/or relevant course work
  • 2 years working within ERP systems on an order management level and pulling reports
  • Experience with reporting quarterly KPI’s and metrics and implementation of process and system improvements
