Job Description

The Role:  

The individual in this intern position will be responsible for working with the department leader and direct staff to help ensure accountability and traction towards completion of all action items in the capacity of a project manager. The individuals shall also work with the leader to develop metrics for the department and help do a capabilities assessment to support the budget and 3-5 year vision of the department. Help with administrative duties within the department as needed to help support timely closure and consistent assignment of tasks within the department. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serving as a project manager to the global compliance department. 

  • Running weekly staff meetings and ensuring offline follow up of all action items. 

  • Working with team members to ensure metrics are developed and updated. 

  • Help standardize required training along with roles and responsibilities for the department. 

  • Lead the weekly staff meeting and ensure meeting minutes are created. 

  • Help the department by creating process flow charts for all applicable responsible processes. 

  • Help the leader perform FTE analysis and do budget analysis in support of 3-5 year vision. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 18 years or older 

  • Minimum GPA of 2.8 

  • Eligible to work in the United States without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future 

  • Enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program at an accredited U.S. based university/college 

  • Must have completed at least one year of study at an accredited university/college prior to internship commencing 

  • Enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited U.S. based university/college after the completion of the internship – with earliest graduation date of December 2024 or Spring/Summer 2025 

  • Able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August 

  • Able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship 

  • Not be employed at the time the internship starts 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in Graduate Degree 

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite 

  • Ability to identify issues and seek solutions 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaborativel in cross functional teams in fast pace, dynamic team setting 

  • Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment 

  • Experience and/or interest in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or health-care industry 

  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory policies
