Job Description

Responsible for working within Medical Affairs Operations (MAO) team to support key operational projects for Kite Medical Affairs including but not limited to system and process optimization, budget review process, meeting logistics support in order to execute against MAO roadmap to enhance Medical Affairs effectiveness for global and country teams.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Applying extensive technical expertise to the management of Medical Affairs systems, including customer relationship management tools, performance management and document content and web-based systems
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Medical Affairs Analytics roadmap, including data analysis and dashboarding
  • Understanding Medical Affairs business needs and requirements to identify best-in-class solutions
  • Leading the roll-out of new applications, tools, and processes to end-users
  • Managing projects for new initiatives and ongoing product releases and understands testing and the transition to the solution services team
  • Assisting in assessment of future technologies for the department and helps direct departmental implementation of new technologies
  • Partnering with IT to ensure project goals are in line with global business plans of action and project plans are tracked
  • Developing detailed change management plans and working with Medical Affairs globally to manage change and impact to the business
  • Partnering and managing external vendors to deliver key initiatives for the business
  • Anticipating and mitigating project risks and setbacks to ensure projects progress according to plan
  • Assisting the team lead to develop technology solution roadmaps in support of Medical Affairs business needs
  • Assisting in the quality control and improvement initiatives for Medical Affairs systems
  • Assisting in the development of any applicable policies and procedures
  • Overseeing validation-related activities, testing and documentation
  • Collaborating with the Process and Technology training team to identify training needs and to assist in create training plans
  • Assisting in identifying the budget needs for the project and innovation department
  • Reporting project progress and status regularly to the team lead using the project management portfolio tool

Basic Qualifications

Master’s and 4+ years of medical affairs or project management experience

OR

Bachelor’s and 6+ years of medical affairs or project management experience

OR

Associate and 8+ years of medical affairs or project management experience

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years of medical affairs or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the Biotech / Pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated success in developing effective creative solutions to complex problems
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing highly complex multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working experience and knowledge of end-to-end IT software and systems solution delivery from idea conception, design, development and transition into production operations and maintenance
  • Expertise in database management, customer support, and validated systems
  • Ability to translate technical solutions to business terminology
  • Demonstrated success in establishing effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external key stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under limited direction
  • Ability in cross functional teams in fast pace, dynamic team setting
  • Experience to working within a range of geographies/ countries to support business needs is desired
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, time-management, facilitation, presentation and influencing skills
  • Strong business process modelling techniques and methods
  • Excellent understanding of departmental and company policies and processes
  • Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
