Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our commercial cell therapy production center as a Senior Supply Chain Specialist, based in our state-of-the-art Frederick, MD facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities including but not limited to materials planning related to GMP and Non-GMP needs.
  • Ensure System Master Data is accurate in both MRP and ERP systems for responsible materials.
  • Collaborate with global and site planning/S&OP functions to ensure most current forecast information is utilized.
  • End to end management of PO creation to reconciliation of invoice.
  • Coordinate and execute the end to end purchase order life cycle (create, manage deliveries, ensure invoicing is reconciled).
  • Collaborate with suppliers for PO delivery confirmation and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate receipt challenges between delivery site and supplier.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure most current Bill of Material information is utilized.
  • Establish key contacts in Manufacturing and site MSAT to ensure timely communication of changes to requirements affecting responsible materials.
  • Coordinate inventory balancing between Kite facilities with global planners.
  • Assist with the development of ERP requirements for inventory, planning, and other activities.
  • Work cross-functionally with QC RM and GRMR QA/QC for processing materials from quarantine to release status, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Create and Manage the completion of deviations and CAPAs, as necessary.
  • Facilitates cross functional and team meetings, as necessary.
  • Create and Revise GMP documents (SOP’s, WIs, etc.), as necessary.
  • Continuous improvement suggestions to refine and improve processes and communication.
  • Prepares, reviews and presents data, reports and presentations as assigned.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Deviation and change control management or support.
  • Leads or supports projects in support of Kites overall mission.
  • Ensures timely escalations to respective management for inventory issues.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s and 3+ years of relevant experience OR
  • Bachelor’s and 5+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of end-to-end supply chain.
  • Excellent data analytical skills – ability to manage large datasets.
  • Preference on materials planning or buyer experience.
  • Possesses good planning and organizational skills coupled with strong communication, time management skills and aptitude for working with computer systems to plan and manage supply chain requirements.
  • Demonstrates an in depth understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards along with an in depth knowledge of industry practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability.
  • Proficient in ERP system software, with emphasis in the Operations / Supply Chain functionality (e.g. SAP/EBS, Kinaxis RR).
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification and APICS CPIM or CSCP certifications preferred.
  • Able to develop solutions to a wide range of moderately complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
  • Knowledgeable in cGMP operations functionality.
  • Must have a desire to learn new business operations and have a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of Cell Therapy manufacturing preferred.

The salary range for this position is: $107,185.00 - $138,710.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
