The Executive Director, Commercial Analytics & US Sales Operations will leverage their deep knowledge of biopharmaceutical data and analytics (claims, sales, EMR, digital, etc.) to build an industry leading commercial analytics and sales operations team. The role is a key member of the Global Analytics & Commercial Operations leadership team, driving the development and delivery of advanced analytics, U.S. field operations and US Event Planning to support Kite’s Commercial excellence. The role reports directly to the Vice President, Global Analytics & Commercial Operations and can be based in Santa Monica, CA or Remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analytics and sales operations teams to support data-driven decision making by innovatively leveraging data to provide objective, actionable and strategic insight on business performance and opportunities
  • Lead the US Event Planning team to support Commercial excellence through the development and execution of strategic congress and commercial event planning and execution
  • Bring a proactive, innovative, and consultative approach to partnering with stakeholders, serving as an advisor across the Commercial organization with a relentless focus on delivering results
  • Drive forward vision, direction, and management of long-term Commercial data analytics strategy and roadmap
  • Lead the development and implementation of global commercial dashboards and performance reporting
  • Lead key data workstreams including sales and marketing channel opportunity and effectiveness assessments, customer segmentation and targeting, and claims analytics 
  • Build and develop the global advanced data analytics and US field operations team
  • Ensure development and delivery of best-in-class field insights and execution tools
  • Coach team to build insightful, creative, and continuously improving analytics across the Commercial organization
  • Contribute to building a collaborative, engaging, and development-focused culture across the broader Global Analytics and Commercial Operations team
  • Ability to travel ~10-15%

Basic Qualifications:

  • MA/MS and 14 years of experience OR
  • BA/BS and 16 years of experience OR
  • High school diploma and 20 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) or MBA with a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
  • 14 years of experience in data analytics, marketing science, or a similar role
  • 10+ years of Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Healthcare experience with at least 5 years in oncology, hematology, cell therapy, or rare diseases in analytics and/or commercial operations
  • 5+ years of managing and leading analytics teams with a passion for coaching, developing, and mentoring others
  • Strong understanding of the biopharma commercialization process and experience with field analytics and operations
  • Advanced programming experience in SQL, Python, R, or a similar language
  • Ability to independently conduct various statistical tests like correlation, decision tree, regression, random forest to predict and assess customer behavior (HCPs, patients, etc.), as well as coach others on these capabilities and review deliverables for accuracy
  • High level initiative, ability to multi-task, and passionate about asking and answering questions with large, complex datasets while consistently seeking to innovate
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
